Meet our Ministerial Candidate, Rev. Jay Libby…

Rev. Jay is a 2008 graduate of Andover Newton Theological School where he received a Master’s of Divinity with Honors. He has spent the last year as half time Interim Minister at the UU Society of Laconia, NH. In addition, he provides chaplaincy services for a hospice agency in the Boston Area. Prior to entering Divinity School, Jay practiced law for several years. Jay lives in Melrose with his wife, Jill, and son, Ian.
Rev. Jay has been described as compassionate, thoughtful, very smart, deeply spiritual, and warm and organized. The Parish Chair of the UU Society of Laconia recently wrote in their church newsletter: “Few of us thought a year ago that a half time minister could make the positive contributions to our spiritual life that Jay Libby has done for us. We see a vibrant congregation, with larger attendance at services, and more excitement about our activities. Thank you, Jay, from all of us.”
